I am thinking about taking a long trip up the Pacific Coast this summer. I have no specifics set out yet, but it would probably be in August, when I have like zero work booked here in Philadelphia.
My initial plan (subject to multiple revisions) is to fly into LA, stay there for a few days, work/hang out with as many people as I can, etc… and then take a bus or train up to San Francisco/Oakland, do the same hang/shoot, then Portland, and then maybe Seattle. I would then fly out of either Portland or Seattle, depending on prices and timing. Of course, if things shake out a certain way, maybe the whole thing happens in reverse. Who knows?
I have had a few offers from friends for places to crash, but if anyone has any leads or is interested in shooting, now would be a good time to let me know so I can plan ahead (something I am NOT good at doing).
one of my favorite songs of all time is a 9:28 long epic rambling about (among other things) killing tourists. at around the 5:40 mark i think the singer, Rick Froberg, yells “that’s it, i’m done” and the song finishes without him.
i want it to be the score to beautiful sweeping videos of mountains and carnage.
i could listen to it on repeat for an hour or more.
